Hello ,

It's been a great start to the year - business has been brisk with several people taking up the Kick Start offer from last month and I'm getting healthier after finishing chemo last month - thank you for everyone's best wishes.

It's always great to be working with new clients and there's certainly been a focus on time management and productivity this month.  How about you?  Have you had a good start to the year and are you excited and motivated by what you have planned?

If you haven't done so already - take a look at the Time Audit.  It's up to you whether you do anything with it but it's a good starting point to help you see what you'd like to change and where you need to focus to make the best of this year.  Many people find it a real eye-opener.

You can return your completed Audit for free email feedback to point you in the right direction and provide you with a few tips and ideas.

Until next time,

Clare

Going for Gold

I think it was Amy Williams who said it this year and I heard it at the Summer Olympics in 2012.

Every decision she made was based on the question:

"Is this going to get me a gold?"

Or in your case - "Is this going to get me to X?

If it is then go ahead and do it.

If not - then do something else that will.

If you want something badly enough, you need to be very focused.

Whatever your goals and objectives are for this year, it will take hard work, dedication and perhaps a few sacrifices to get you there.

While you may not be aiming for your first Olympic gold medal, we all have something we want to achieve, challenges we want to overcome or our own gold medal winning performance we'd like to make.

Perhaps there's something that will make a difference to your life - either for your business or personally.

Step 1 - Have you got your goals for this year written down?

You need to know what it is you want - it's surprising the number of people I talk to who only have a vague or high-level idea of what this is or haven't really got clear on what they want.  But once you start thinking about it, it's easy to do.

Step 2 - Do you have a plan in place?

You need to be taking action each and every day, even if it's only one small thing, to take you closer to what you want and where you want to be.  Write down the steps you need to take and create actions linked to your goals.

Step 3 - Have you set up a review process?

You need to regularly review and monitor your progress so that you can stay focused and on track.  It makes it easier to keep going when you see the progress you're making and also allows you to make any necessary changes along the way.

Put these three steps in place and you'll have more success and be able to achieve what you set out to do.

What action(s) can you take today, this week, this month which will get you closer to achieving your goal?
