A very Happy New Year to you, your family and friends! I hope you're looking forward to the next twelve months.
Here are my twelve tips for a happier, healthier, more productive and positive 2018.
- Get more sleep - your body and mind needs
it. You can’t function at your best when you’re tired and stressed.
- Time to think - not just more breaks but time to switch off and just think. Find those moments of distraction free quiet in each day.
- Focus on the important things - don’t lose sight of what’s really important in life.
- Don’t sweat the small stuff - is it really important to waste your time and energy on something that doesn’t really add up to a
whole heap of beans?
- Nurture your body - eat well, sleep well, exercise often. Treat your body well and you’ll feel healthier and happier.
- Take one step at a time - every little success adds up and you can go a long way just by moving forward one step at a time.
- Stay positive - you can chose to see the downside of a challenge or you can focus on the positive and see an opportunity.
- Listen to
yourself - trust your instincts and gut reaction. Know when you don’t have the energy to be full on and need to slow down or take the pressure off.
- Keep learning - from your mistakes and your challenges. Learn from the people around you.
- Live each day - stop focusing on the “what if …” and “when I …” enjoy each moment.
- Let go of the negative - emotions, thoughts, people - anything that no longer supports or
serves you.
- Step out of your comfort zone - when you challenge yourself you grow and learn. You expand your comfort zone just a little more.
