I hope you enjoyed the festive celebrations, spending time with family and friends, enjoying many of the seasonal treats of perhaps escaping the whole thing.
Maybe you're already back at work or you've still got a few days off until you go back to work. I'm working this week but in a gentle way to ease in to the New Year.
I love this time of the year, despite the post Christmas slump. Whether or not you make New Year Resolutions, it’s an opportunity to make a fresh start. Set your goals for the next 12 months, focus on what you want to change or do differently in the coming year.
I’ve kicked off my health and fitness habits for the year by committing to get active every day in January - walking or running, plus daily yoga sessions. I’m getting back into a running habit with a Couch to 5k programme - an 'easy' way to build up to being able to a 5k run in 9 weeks. Check out the many apps to help kick-start a running habit. There’s a Walking app to build up a regular walking habit if you’re not into running or want to start at a gentler pace.
