Hello ,
Thank you and welcome to all the new subscribers who’ve joined over the course of the year. I know it’s been a pretty tough year all round for many people, so I appreciate you joining me and the others on your journey.
I'm sure we've all been impacted by Covid this year, to a greater or lesser degree, holiday's cancelled, plans changed, restrictions on how we live and work.
On a personal note, I lost my Dad in March, just as the first lockdown hit the UK. There’s so much to think about and do when you’re dealing with the death of a loved one. Add to that the impact on companies going into lockdown and employees shifting to working from home made it all the more frustrating and challenging, making arrangements at a time when restrictions were in place.
With all the uncertainty - things inevitably slowed down for many businesses, as contracts disappeared overnight and we adjusted to the changes.
However, there have been new opportunities too:
- I've run online seminars helping businesses, groups and teams to adjust to working from home.
- Been interviewed and written articles on staying productive.
- Switched offline training sessions to the online environment.
Many businesses have pivoted or thought creatively about how they can keep moving forward. I've been inspired by so many of the positive stories of how new challenges have been met or people have been able to step up and help others.
