It’s nearly November!
The clocks changed at the weekend, the nights are drawing in and it’s getting colder.
Ward off that hibernation feeling, stay focused and make the most of the last two months of the year.
Review and
Reflect
Reassess your work, personal and financial goals for the year.
Review your progress over the last 10 months and use what you’ve achieved and what you’ve learned to plan ahead for next year.
If you’re on track great! If you’re not, what’s a realistic target for the rest of the year.
- Make a plan for what you want to achieve for the remaining two months.
Stay Healthy
With less inclination to get outdoors and more time spent inside, you’re more likely to succumb to coughs and colds at this time of year.
Warm up with nourishing home-made soups, herbal teas, lemon and ginger (good for colds), to keep you hydrated.
While it’s less appealing to exercise when it’s cold, dark and wet, adjust your exercise routine to keep the momentum going. I admire those who either have a dog or head out for a run in all weathers, whatever the time of year!
- Move your workouts indoors.
- Get outdoors for a brisk walk when you can during daylight hours.
For me that means lunchtime or before settling down to work in the morning. Working from home has its benefits. :)
Plan
Ahead
Not only for the upcoming holiday season but the coming Year.
You'll have less time available to get things done with all the holiday gatherings and events. Plan your time accordingly and focus on your most important priorities and objectives.
Use this time to create a strong foundation for next year with a plan of action so you start the year, ready to go and on a more productive footing.
If you’re easily distracted - try the Pomodoro Technique to keep you focused on one task at a time and to prevent you giving more time to task than it requires.
